By using OrdPal ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

OrdPal is a reading-companion app for children. It uses AI to detect underlined words in book photographs, explain them, and optionally generate illustrations.

2. Account & Parental Responsibility

Accounts must be created by an adult (18+). Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children's use of the app and managing subscriptions.

3. Subscriptions

• OrdPal offers an auto-renewable subscription ("OrdPal Pro") with monthly and yearly options.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by law.

4. Free Plan Limits

The free plan includes a limited number of daily word lookups and image generations. These limits are subject to change with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the app to upload illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content you do not have the right to use. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that misuse the service.

6. AI-Generated Content

Word explanations and illustrations are generated by AI and may occasionally contain inaccuracies. Always supervise your child's use of generated content.

7. Intellectual Property

The OrdPal app, branding, and content are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the app without permission.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that AI outputs will always be accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
